No support for people with eating disorders

Published Thursday, July 22, 2021

Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric disorder. Despite this fact, Kaiser has woefully inadequate services available. Instead of providing adequate facilities and sufficient specialized professionals, Kaiser defaults to one-size-fits-all group therapies. I am only able to see an eating disorder specialist in person one-on-one once every month — if I’m lucky.
