I called Kaiser bawling my eyes out
Published Tuesday, March 19, 2019After giving birth to my second child, I was suffering from postpartum depression and anxiety. I was desperately trying to get better. I called Kaiser bawling my eyes out, begging for help, and they gave me an appointment for the following day. When I showed up to the appointment, I found out it wasn’t a real appointment but an “intake appointment.” I just answered question for about 30 minutes to see if I even qualified to receive mental healthcare. I was told not to overshare or go too deep into detail. They then gave me an appointment for weeks later. It was devastating to say the very least.
