In December, NUHW members welcomed nearly 400 new members at a USC hospital, passed a resolution demanding more time for mental health therapists at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California to perform critical patient care tasks, struck Sutter Health, picketed against drastic cuts at Seton Medical Center, and settled new contracts with a nursing home operator.
