In December, NUHW members held a community forum with elected and community allies about UCSF’s poor stewardship of Children’s Hospital Oakland, secured an estimated $300,000 in unpaid wages from Kaiser Permanente, and authorized a strike at West Anaheim Medical Center. Town Hall sheds light on UCSF’s hollowing out of Children’s Hospital Oakland
NUHW members joined community and elected allies to share their concerns that UCSF is transferring critical medical services to its children’s hospital in San Francisco forcing East Bay families to travel farther for care. Read more.



Kaiser workers settle grievance, will collect an estimated $300,000 in unpaid wages
Workers filed a grievance after Kaiser claimed that our contract only required it to create new classifications, not put people into the classifications and pay them the additional salary. Read more.
