If I run out of medication, too bad

Published Tuesday, December 4, 2018

I’ve been a Kaiser patient for more than three years now. I struggle with severe clinical depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. I do NOT get the care I need with Kaiser. Let me be clear, I absolutely love my therapist and psychiatrist. But it takes me two months to get an appointment with the psychiatrist, and I can only see the therapist once a month, at the most. And if I run out of medication? Too bad. I have to wait until I can get a psychiatrist appointment. Additionally, about half the time the appointments get canceled anyway! It is absolutely horrible. Kaiser needs to provide mental health patients with the care they need. If they can’t provide it themselves, contract it out. Whatever has to be done.
