No improvement in mental health services

Published Wednesday, December 12, 2018

My teen finally had an intake appointment with a therapist after waiting a month. The therapist said their next available appointment was in seven weeks. The therapist was very kind and acknowledged that my child should be seen sooner; however, there were no earlier appointments. We pay for our Kaiser Insurance, and this is what we’re getting. This is wrong. I can’t see that Kaiser has done anything to improve their mental health care for their members, and, worse they have their CEO Bernard Tyson claiming that they are making improvements. My child needs appropriate mental health care, not the runaround.
