Never felt taken care of

Published Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Having been hospitalized for attempted suicide twice in the past ten years, I knew I was going downhill again. I callled to set an appointment before things got too bad. I needed to get back on my meds. I was told I could not be seen at a Kaiser facility for two months, but they could refer me to another doctor who would be covered by Kaiser. That made me really uncomfortable, but I needed to be seen. I was told I would receive a call in the next three days to schedule, and to call back if I did not recieve a call. I have gone through this process TWICE now. I’ve never felt taken care of with Kaiser’s mental health care. I bought the psych meds I would have been prescribed, off the street, for ten times the price. Thanks, Kaiser.
