My wife and I have been waiting several months for couples therapy
Published Tuesday, July 26, 2022My wife and I are in our seventies. We have been Kaiser members for over 30 years. We suffer from numerous degenerative and life threatening illnesses and have lived in an Assisted Living facility for fifteen months. The facility was frequently in lockdown as a result of COVID. The stress has been overwhelming. I went through individual counseling, then we were told we had to go through four group counseling sessions before we could receive couples therapy. We completed group counseling in mid-December and immediately applied for couples therapy. As of February 17, in spite of several requests and promises that a therapist would be assigned, we have not been scheduled.
