Kaiser, Don't Deny
Patients need access to timely and consistent mental health services
Like a number in their systemPublished Friday, November 30, 2018
I’m 20-years-old and have been battling PTSD, major depressive disorder, and anxiety disorders since I was 17. I am still searching for help, but it is so hard when there is no consistency, there is no one available, and I have to wait weeks or months before I can get an appointment. I turn to suicide hotlines and non-professionals for temporary help over Kaiser’s behavioral health assistance. I feel like a number in Kaiser’s system; I don’t feel as if I am being heard, let alone helped.
