I’m tired of feeling hopeless, anxious and fatigued

Published Thursday, June 20, 2019

I made an appointment on the phone to meet with a therapist and psychiatrist. The therapy appointment is six weeks away from today. However the psychiatric appointment is all the way in November. It’s May 23rd today. That’s 6 MONTHS away. I’ve been having terrible anxiety and depression from chronic pain and previous mental health issues. I just had surgery done and have trouble sleeping due to pain and not being able to relax. I’ve had insomnia for over a year and just decided seek mental help because my issues are taking a toll on me. I haven’t left the house much due to the pain, insomnia and hopelessness. I’m tired of feeling hopeless, anxious and fatigued all day and night. I’ve been having suicidal thoughts from not being able to sleep. I would really like to discuss this with my therapist and psychiatrist sooner rather than later. To some people like me, mental health and help is a timely concern. It’s not something you can schedule 6 months down the line and be put on a waitlist for. Kaiser seriously needs to pull it together and provide timely care for ALL OF THEIR patients and members.
