I have given up trying to see someone regularly
Published Monday, April 22, 2019From the first phone call, it took me a visit with a social worker to finally get referred to see a psychiatrist. I had been put on an anti-anxiety medication by my regular Kaiser doctor, but I wanted to see a specialist to be sure I was on the right medication for me. It took over a month to finally see a psychiatrist. I also started seeing a therapist that was covered by Kaiser but about 45 minutes away from home. Then she stopped seeing Kaiser patients, so I switched again to another Kaiser therapist. I didn’t feel she gave me anything helpful, so switched again. I liked my new therapist, but my appointments were cancelled at least four times. I finally have given up trying to see someone regularly.
