I continue to wait

Published Wednesday, July 3, 2019

I switched to Kaiser at the end of 2018, and began seeking ongoing treatment for major depressive order and generalized anxiety disorder, which I’ve struggled with since I was a teenager. I saw a psychiatrist in February 2019 — and from there made an appointment to see a general therapist, who I couldn’t see until April. In five months, I had two in-person sessions and two phone appointments. In June, when I felt the need to further examine my symptoms, I was informed I could not be seen until September. I’ve been resistant to this, but have yet to be referred an outside therapist and continue to wait.’
