I can tell the health care workers want to help me, but the system is a mess
Published Monday, September 26, 2022A couple years ago I started therapy with Kaiser and I could only get appts every five weeks at best and sometimes up to two months. I had to go outside of Kaiser and pay lots of money for less qualified therapists, which didn’t go well and my mental health declined further. This year I tried therapy through Kaiser again and it took so long getting the whole process started. I don’t even want to tell the whole story. I can tell the health care workers want to help me, but the system is a mess. I am now enrolled in therapy but I can only have max 6-8 sessions :(. My therapist requested from her manager that I get all 8. I hope the strike helps.
