I called 33 therapists on Beacon’s list

I”m in an ugly family crisis and have been trying to get therapy from Kaiser for many months. Kaiser outsources for therapy with Beacon and Magellan, but the lists of therapists they give you are useless because virtually none of them are taking new patients! Kaiser pays the therapists too little, so therapists get out of that system as quickly as they can. I called 33 therapists on Beacon’s list, and most were not even taking clients, so I still don’t have a therapist. Now I”m looking into private pay; in other words, skipping Kaiser altogether!
