In February, NUHW members recouped more than $500,000 in unpaid wages from Kaiser, in Northern California, participated in a podcast highlighting Kaiser’s failure to provide timely access to mental health care, volunteered for or allies running in two special elections, won 3 percent raises at California Pacific Medical Center, opposed the recall of Governor Newsom, and urged their fellow-Californians to get vaccinated. Kaiser stewards help colleagues recoup more than $500,000 in lost pay
Nearly 1,200 NUHW members at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California received lump sum payments ranging from $185 to $850 this month after Kaiser acknowledged violating their contract by failing to properly account for the July 4 holiday. Read more.

Members are getting out the vote for Katrina Foley, who is running for a vacant seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors and Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager, who is running for a State Senate seat representing a section of Los Angeles. Read more.


CPMC workers ratify one-year contract with 3 percent raises
The parties agreed to settle a short-term contract that will provide immediate raises while NUHW members continue organizing to win additional benefits and protections in the next round of bargaining. Read more.
