In April, NUHW members held a strike at MarinHealth Medical Center, fought back against Sutter Health’s attempt to cut healthcare benefits with a strike in Sacramento and a picket in Santa Cruz, launched a unified regional contract bargaining campaign against Providence, won an organizing drive at the University of Southern California, and celebrated the advancement of two important patient care bills in the state legislature.
