Kaiser, Don't Deny
Patients need access to timely and consistent mental health services
Another three months of waitingPublished Wednesday, October 16, 2019
For most of my life I’ve been fighting depression. Early in 2019 I decided to finally do something about it. I called to make an appointment in April, on a weekend, and listened to a robot tell me to call during business hours. I tried again in May and got the ball rolling on my treatment. Another three months of waiting before I finally got to talk to a LMFT. If I’m not suicidal and keep making my premiums, then why would Kaiser bother helping me with my mental health?
