After much success, therapist retired and no replacement was assigned

Published Monday, September 19, 2022

I have been a Kaiser patient for close to 50 years. I have been a positive advocate for much of my time with Kaiser. I have been a constant patient in Adult Psychology for the last 19 years. Over that time, I’ve had awesome Adult Psychology support, medication, Adult Psychology classes and studies. During this time I was able to stop my medications and use the tools and have the support that I vitally need through my classes that provide support with that important check in with other patients with similar issues! This really keeps me off the medication and I feel that should be readily available to me from Kaiser’s Adult Psychology Department as told it would be! This was explained to me many times over by the clinicians in the Adult Psychology Department and my Psychiatrist. I feel I have accomplished a great deal weaning myself off of the maximum medication I was on. I thought that was Kaiser’s plan as well. Although, when my therapist retired, no replacement!
