We stand with teachers! As healthcare workers, we know that caring for our patients sometimes means protecting them by fighting back against corporate greed. Now teachers in Los Angeles are fighting for smaller class sizes and to protect public education. As NUHW members, we support their fight!
Many of us were inspired by the example of educators who went on strike across the country last year, from West Virginia to Arizona. Now teachers in Los Angeles will continue to inspire other educators and working people in all industries.
We call on the Los Angeles Unified School District to come back to the bargaining table and reach an agreement that gives fair compensation to teachers and stops the rampant privatization of LAUSD. When healthcare workers and educators stand together, there’s no telling what we can do.
