In July, NUHW members ratified contracts that significantly increase salaries and reduce health care costs at Stockton Unified School District and further boosts salaries at Richmond Area Multi-Services, forced Kaiser Permanente in Hawaii to pay an additional $1,500 in performance bonuses and passed a resolution by the California Labor Federation declaring organized labor’s support for our contract campaign against Kaiser in Southern California.
