In December, NUHW members convinced the largest health insurance purchaser in Hawai’i to let its members leave Kaiser over inadequate access to mental health care, won big raises at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, held a successful picket at Providence Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Center and welcomed nearly 200 workers at West Anaheim Medical Center and the University of Southern California who voted to join our union.

Nursing home workers in San Francisco win 7 percent raises in year 1 of new contract
