In August, NUHW members in Northern California and Hawai’i launched an ongoing, open-ended strike to increase staffing and improve access to mental health care at Kaiser Permanente, won nearly $40,000 in back pay from Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, protested costly paycheck errors at Providence hospitals, and celebrated sizable raises from several employers.
