What inspired you to pursue a career in behavioral health?

I got into therapy work after being an organizer for queer and trans student rights and really enjoying it. I wanted to continue direct service to queer and trans people, and becoming a therapist was a sweet way to do that in a more sustainable way.

How has being in NUHW helped you in your profession?

Working with NUHW has really helped me in my job because I work with all my clients to help them advocate for themselves and know what their boundaries and rights are in any given situation. NUHW reminds me what my rights and boundaries are. It is great to advocate for myself with the help of NUHW to keep my work sustainable, so that I can keep helping my clients.
