NUHW is proud to introduce its new website, NUHW.org. It’s an appropriate time for an upgrade — we celebrated our fifth anniversary last week and we’ve entered a new era in our history. We have firmly established our Union and we are now on secure financial footing. Our new website reflects that growth. It shows where we’ve been, who we are, and where we’re going.
The site has a number of new features. Each workplace has a dedicated page that includes the latest news about your workplace as well as leaflets to help you spread the word among your colleagues. In addition, your representative can post updates about news and issues in your workplace.
On our News&Press page you can read all the latest news from and about NUHW, including blog posts, press releases, and coverage of NUHW in the media. In the future you can expect weekly content on our blog about our members, our workplaces, and the work of union staff. You can sign up to receive email updates when new content is posted, and of course you can follow us through social media using links to our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts.
The site also includes a number of features directed at new members or prospective members: information about how to start organizing your workplace; how to contact an organizer or representative; our constitution and bylaws; and “What Is a Union?,” an informative guide that answers just about every question a newcomer may have.
And more features are on the way, including a Member Benefits page with information about discounts and services offered to NUHW members through our affiliation with CNA and the AFL-CIO.
