Staff turnover is so high
Published Monday, October 10, 2022My wife and I have both been Kaiser members for over 60 years — we were BORN in Kaiser facilities — and for the most part, we have received satisfactory care from Kaiser Permanente. We are not, however, satisfied with the mental health treatment Kaiser provides. It takes a long time to see a clinician. Appointments may be regular, but not nearly frequent enough. In our experience, three to you weeks between appointments is far from ideal. Staff turnover is so high, it makes it hard to know whether you can develop the kind of trusting relationship with any given clinician, degrading the quality of care. And Kaiser clinicians’ stress level comes through in sessions, making it harder for them to be effective at their jobs.
