Sign the Petition: Protect Santa Rosa Memorial Workers and Patients

The Issue

Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is not taking COVID-19 seriously enough, putting patients and caregivers in jeopardy. Even after an outbreak in August that infected 26 workers and as many as four patients, the hospital is still refusing to test caregivers for COVID-19 or provide N95s for all caregivers treating patients suspected of having COVID-19.

Instead of taking appropriate precautions to make the hospital safe, Santa Rosa Memorial’s CEO Tyler Hedden is trying to cut costs by demanding cuts health benefits and accrued sick leave — during the pandemic! Please tell Mr. Hedden to honor the commitment of Santa Rosa Memorial caregivers and protect them and their patients from contracting COVID-19.

The Petition

Dear CEO Tyler Hedden:

I support Santa Rosa Memorial workers, and I call on you to:

  1. Provide N95s to all workers who come into contact with suspected COVID-19 patients.
  2. Regularly test all workers and test all workers immediately after they have been exposed to COVID-19 to lower the risk of another outbreak.
  3. Settle a fair contract with workers with no cuts to sick leave or health benefits during a pandemic.
