Pandemic fuels growth at Amazon — and worker organizing

Amazon is the largest private employer in California’s Inland Empire, with more than 40,000 people in the region handling or delivering Amazon orders — about double the number from two years ago. Indeed, COVID-19 has cemented Amazon’s hold on the economy — but it has also spurred employees all around the country to organize.
