Next Week’s Statewide Strike Grows 2,000 Engineers Stronger
On Monday, the International Union of Operating Engineers, Stationary Engineers, Local 39 officially notified Kaiser Permanente of its intent to honor next week’s statewide strike by the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW).
Together with the accompanying sympathy strike at Kaiser by the California Nurses Assocation, the total number of workers who will participate in the walk-out on September 22nd comes to 23,000.
