Members settle one-year contracts at Kindred Hospitals in Orange County
NUHW members at Kindred hospitals in Brea and Westminster have approved 1-year contracts with 4.5 percent wage increases for full and part-time workers. The new contracts also protect all current benefits and working conditions.
“This contract extension will give us a significant wage increase now, so we can stay focused on getting through the COVID pandemic,” said Marsha Mabry, a monitor tech at Westminster and a member of the NUHW Executive Board. “We’re already preparing to negotiate a longer-term contract that will include additional benefits and protections.”
NUHW members at Kindred facilities include respiratory therapists, nurses, certified nursing assistants, housekeepers, dietary workers and radiology technicians. NUHW members are still negotiating contracts at Kindred facilities in the Bay Area and San Diego.
