Members form NUHW Retirees Committee

Northern California NUHW retirees invite our colleagues in Southern California to join us in building a union-wide Retirees Committee.
The group will be focusing on supporting NUHW’s collective bargaining, informational picket lines, and strikes, as well as our political and legislative program. We seek to align ourselves with coalitions of union retirees in California. We plan to provide support to new NUHW retirees and will be producing a useful information packet.
We are also producing a NUHW Retiree t-shirt. On the front it will say, “NUHW Retirees for Social Justice.” On the back it will say, “The Union Has My Back.”
And last but not least, we want to organize fun events for retirees to participate in! We welcome everyone’s input on the committee’s planned activities.
Join us for the next Northern California meeting of the Retirees Committee at 11 a.m. Monday, November 9, at NUHW’s office: 5801 Christie Avenue, Suite 525, Emeryville.
