Los Angeles Times story: “His 83-year-old wife jumped to her death from a Kaiser clinic — why?”
California Pacific Medical Center
The Los Angeles Times published a story in September about the tragic suicide of Barbara Ragan, the Santa Rosa woman who committed suicide by jumping, Kaiser card in hand, from a Kaiser parking garage after being told she’d have to wait eight weeks for a therapy appointment for severe depression.
The LA Times story has been viewed by 100,000 people on the No More Kaiser Suicides Facebook page, which is co-sponsored by NUHW, Courage Campaign, and the East Bay chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
