Kaiser needs to do better

Published Monday, December 17, 2018

I’ve been a patient at Kaiser since 2012. My psychiatrist wants to see me every two weeks right now, but his schedule is booked at least three months out every time I visit. How is my mental health supposed to improve if I can never see my psychiatrist and my therapist as often as they feel is best? I can tell Kaiser has a problem retaining employees because I’m on my fifth psychiatrist in about six years due to psychiatrists leaving. I never asked to change. They left. The appointment situation has only grown worse this past year. It’s time for a change. I can’t continue to let my mental health suffer while the professionals in charge of my care are powerless to help. Kaiser needs to do better.
