Kaiser mental health strike: Sept. 12
Last week more than 500 clinicians tuned into bargaining on Zoom and saw firsthand what a commendable job our Bargaining Committee does advocating for their colleagues. Today, lots of folks heeded our committee’s call to get out on the picket lines. We had more striking clinicians on the lines today than any day last week. And several others began striking and joined the picket lines for the first time today. It will be important to keep this going as we resume bargaining on Wednesday and prepare for the one-month anniversary of our strike on Thursday.
Our strike is continuing to draw national attention. CNN included the strike in its most recent labor report.
And in case you missed it, our central financial hardship fund disbursed $160,000 today to local strike funds for disbursement to clinicians.
