Kaiser LAMC Nurses On Strike Wednesday
Over 1,000 Registered Nurses at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center will be on strike for 24 hours starting this Wednesday at 6am. Nurses are protesting Kaiser’s unfair labor practices, including its refusal to bargain in good faith, and fighting for contract language that protects patients by providing RNs with a way to enforce safe staffing ratios.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- No matter where you are, you can show your solidarity with NUHW RNs at Kaiser LAMC by wearing red at your workplace on Wednesday, and by sending the RNs a message of support.
- If you’re in the L.A. area, join us on the picket line!
- The nurses have a brand new website up and running where you can get hourly updates on the day of the strike: http://kaiserunited.org/
- You can even follow the action on Twitter or on Facebook!
