Health care workers at two Woodland nursing homes vote to leave Service Employees International Union and join rival NUHW

Workers at Woodland Nursing & Rehabilitation and the Cottonwood Healthcare Center nursing home in Woodland have voted overwhelmingly to leave the Service Employees International Union and join the National Union of Healthcare Workers.

Wednesday’s vote at Cottonwood was 54-1, and Thursday’s vote at Woodland Nursing was 40-4, according to NUHW.
