Faith Flores

Her farmworker family’s experiences in California’s Central Valley, particularly her grandmother’s death of heat exhaustion from working in the fields, led Faith Flores to create Calor, a wearable heat stress app. In high school, she also established the Latina Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit that supports young women addressing social justice issues in their community. The University of Southern California student has received numerous awards.

Las experiencias de su familia de trabajadores agrícolas en el Valle Central de California, particularmente la muerte de su abuela por agotamiento por calor mientras trabajaba en los campos, llevaron a Faith Flores a crear Calor, una aplicación portátil para el estrés por calor.
