Caregivers to Picket for a Fair Contract at The Sequoias Retirement Community
Portola Valley, California – Housekeepers, maintenance employees, gardeners, food service staff and other workers at The Sequoias Retirement Community will engage in an informational picket this Sunday to urge their employer to bargain in good faith toward a fair union contract.
Workers at The Sequoias have been bargaining with management for over a year, aiming to settle a contract with no healthcare benefit cost increases and with reasonable annual wage improvements. They haven’t received a wage increase in close to two years.
