NUHW leaders celebrate Dolores Huerta’s 85th birthday
NUHW members and staff joined labor leader Dolores Huerta in celebrating her 85th birthday earlier this month.
Several hundred labor, community, and political leaders attended the party and dance-a-thon April 11 at the Delancey Street Foundation Ballroom in Los Angeles. Proceeds from the event benefited the Dolores Huerta Foundation, a community benefit organization that organizes at the grassroots level to engage and develop leaders. DHF creates leadership opportunites through community organizing, leadership development, civic engagement, and policy advocacy.
