Kaiser, Don't Deny
Patients need access to consistent, reliable mental health services

Has Kaiser Permanente delayed or denied your mental health care? Have you or a loved one been forced to endure long waits for appointments?
Kaiser doesn’t staff its facilities with enough psychologists, therapists, social workers, and psychiatric nurses to care for its patients. Kaiser has just one of these clinicians for every 3,000 patients. This forces patients to wait weeks, even months for therapy.
Kaiser clinicians, represented by the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW), are taking action to show the HMO that it needs to do better. And you can help. If you’ve had difficulty obtaining mental health care services at Kaiser, share your story with us, and let’s show Kaiser executives the human costs of their failure to meet their patients’ needs.
If you are in crisis, please call 911, seek help immediately at a local hospital emergency room or call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255.
