Corizon’s for-profit prison healthcare under scrutiny

Following the death of Mario Martinez while in custody at Alameda County’s Santa Rita Jail, KPFA Radio of Berkeley aired a 30-minute report on Corizon’s profit-driven health care at the Dublin jail and at Oakland’s Glenn E. Dyer Detention Center.

Previously, KTVU TV (Channel 2, Oakland) aired the first two parts in an ongoing series on Corizon.

Corizon is the nation’s largest for-profit provider of healthcare for prison inmates and has a dismal record at facilities across the country.
